OSU, I recently started trying out kicking with the heel of my foot... oh man, it's nasty! Anybody else like to hook a heel and nail the big nerve on the side of someone's leg with it? It seems to be pretty effective... at getting my butt handed to me on a platter once the other person recovers, haha! OSU!

yeah, you can do it in a few different ways, kake geri kakato, ushiro mawashi geri kakato, and there is a soto version that I dont know the proper name for, when you get it right it hurts like hell!!

I love the ushiro mawash geri kakato...don't need to use much power and just drop your weight onto the target and opponent falls down, beautiful. Osu!

The last time I used a spinning heel kick in the dojo, I felt like I lost a friend. The look of shock mixed with pain on my opponent's face, as if he were saying,"Now why would you do that?!" caught me off guard.

I would only do it to the shodans and up, because I know they're conditioned for it and used to it. There are a couple colored belts I'd use it with, too, but not many. It's so intense, and while I have been learning control, I'm new to it so I don't want to cause TOO much pain for someone who isn't ready for it. Especially since most of them could probably easily hand me my own butt. On a plate. With a little floral pattern around the rim. But many of us, maybe all of us, have experienced the heel kick from Shihan. He has excellent control, but it lets a person know how easily it could be made to REALLY hurt!

Tmd caught me with one of those......it really hurt at the time, and the muscle was sore for well over a week! Devastating kick, but i'm just not that acuarate with my ushiro mawashi kicks to land one that well.

Nice! I am also a fan of the one used by Valeri Dimitrov Sensei. I have been working on his variation for quite a while. doesn't look like it would have much on it, but the first time you really dig it in is well worth the times that it doesn't hit just right.

I call this a hammer kick. I have found it's most efffective if you step to number one position, throw a short punch to liver, then hammer kick to top of left thigh.

I like to snort a bunch of wasabi and immediately stand in seienchin stance while people kick me as hard as they can with their heel into my thighs...that's what heroes do. Osu!

Sometimes we do drill kicks to the thighs. Just don't eat a huge wad of wasabi at once. You will have enough gas to sail a ship across the bay. So... so I've heard, I mean. OSU

I never pay attention to avoiding foods that cause extra flatulence...my girlfriend and underwear can attest to this . I was thinking of standing in a good seienchin dachi while Wullie and Senshido are on each side throwing ushiro mawashi kakato geri on each thigh..of course I have to snort a bunch of wasabi up the nostrils before I do this. Why? So I can set another bar for someone to attempt to be foolish enough to top. Naw, I kid...getting through a 50 man with them and their students will be enough of a challenge for me. Osu!
