I have recently received and tried out the new K777 Kyokushin gi from goodskarate.com. I have worn it 3 times now and really like it, for those that bought the K1515, it's the same price. The trousers feel a little baggier to me (which I like) and there is plenty of room across the shoulders in the jacket (something I usually struggle with), I am very happy with this gi and would recomend it for stand-up to anyone. I have attached the pictures to show the differences in the embroidery and badge from the previous model. In both pictures the new gi is on the left as you look at the picture...

Not too shabby! Glad you are liking the fit. For me Fit and quality are the important parts. I am very happy with the fighter gi from e-bogu.com currently.

That's great news Senshido! I have the older model you're talking about, and very pleased with that for the price and can tell this new one is a bit better quality.
I know a couple people in the market for new dogi so I will probably talk them into buying this. Osu!

I wear a size 5 in Isami, both K-700 and K-500.
Is the size of the Goodskarate gi equivalent to Isami?
I ask because Isami size 5 is up to 170cm on their chart, but the Goodskarate size 5 is up to 180cm. Nonetheless, Saleem suggested I but the size 5 from Goodskarate as well.
I'm worried about the Goodskarate gi coming in too big.
Thanks

It's a long time since I bought an Isami so I am not sure, I always struggled with the size across the shoulders with Isami. how tall are you and what sort of build? I can then try to suggest what size you should get from Saleem as many of my students have them. P.S. if you go for the unbleached, they shrink more than the white

I have size 5 in both Isami and the Goodskarate kyo 777 and find minimal difference in size between both and better a little big than too small as you can always alter it if necessary , I will say I do prefer the new improved Kyo 777 over Isami anyway.

I'm 5'8 and 167 lbs. I'm not worried too much about width. I just don't want the skirt and the sleeves being too long. I don't want it to look like a judo gi. I'm mostly concerned that, according to the size charts given by both Isami and goodskarate, that a size 6 in isami might correspond to a size 5 in goodskarate

I would lean towards the size 5 from Saleem, I have a guy about 5'5" and the size 4 is perfect for him. I have other guys about 5'8" and they wear the size 5

So the Kyo-777 has different measurements than the older version K-1515? In what aspects?

I think the measurements are the same, it feels a little better in quality and the embroidery and badge are better. There is possibly slightly less shrinkage in the new version

There is possibly slightly less shrinkage in the new version I agree I don't think the measurements are different it's just put together better and the embroidery and badges and overall quality is better than the original which was a good product in the first place especially taking the price into account it's also good to see someone that's constantly trying to improve their product.
