I know I havnt been around much lately on the internet. I got a real job and between that, kids, husband and training, there is no time for internet.
So for a quick update, I am in Canada right now, Diepee, NB and tomorrow I am fighting. This fight will determine if I get to be on team USA and if I am chosen, next May I fight in Japan.

I think Pandora may have only had one fight, or won her 2nd by KO? Excited to hear more details but this is from her facebook status: "Won my fight! knockout with a roundhouse to the head. Thank you all who helped me train. The trophy is as much yours as mine OSU!!" Osu!

Yes P1, one fight. 33 people wound up not coming because of injuries. I was supposed to fight another girl as well but she fell and fracturd her elbow, I met her, she came anyway.
Becasue of the laws of the province, people of a certain age, must wear hand and shin pads. So I borrowed some and when it came time to fight, the other girl was wearing head gear. Since head gear wasn't the law, I opted out of it. I hate those things. The fight didn't last long. maybe just over a minute. Roundhouse to the head.
Shihan Ray had one of the best run tournaments I have ever been in. Everything ran very smoothly.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that hates head gear, my Dad made me wear it as a kid...when I turned 16 I haven't worn one since! Glad everything went well for you ! Quick question, with shin pads in competition does it feel like your kicks bounce off a bit? I can still remember years ago thinking my roundhouse didn't feel half as effective with shin pads when I was forced to wear 'em... Osu!

we have to wear shin & instep pads in the UK, it just feels like the norm after a while
