What is your Beer of choice? I have too many I love!
Favorites tend to be the sterner stuff.
Last night I had some Stone IPA's and Sam Adams Scotch Ale.
Yuuum.

if i'm drinking lager, it would need to be a Stella Artois or Krononberg 1664 beer then Tennent's Ember or one of the local micro brewery ales but my main drink is cider, Bulmer's on draft or Scrumpy Jack in cans

When I come to Scotland you will have to show me to that stuff Wullie. I can get Stella Artois and Krononberg 1664 here. Pretty good stuff.

My favorite, when I could still drink, was Yeungling Lager on tap!!!! Americas oldest!! Something about it was very tasty to me.....often they would try and replace it with Sam Adams, but there was that metal taste I could not get past, from their process. I also liked BluePoint "Blueberry Ale"!! I am a fiend for blueberries and absolutely loved the mix. Of course a couple of guys from a car club I once belonged to said only Fruits like fruity beer....men drink real beer!!!!!hahahaha!! I said "When did fruits decide to start speaking up for the men! I stand before you and dont see a man in the crowd!" A bunch of laughter of course, but usually beer muscles would have come to be, not amongst that lot. Hence I am no longer a member of that club, and of course I cannot drink alcohol anymore!

I have to confess to being a bit of a philistine when it comes to beer. I like a Castle or a Windhoek lager when I'm home in South Africa and I usually drink Carling or Fosters in the UK. The first time I ordered a drink in a pub in the UK I just asked for a beer. When the barman asked which one, I said anything will do. Anyway, I ended up with a bitter served at room temperature. I was horrified. I very quickly learned to ask for a lager. ;D

My favorite beer is dicksbeer which is a brewery not far from me: www.dicksbeer.com that makes a good Barley wine style ale and a good Belgian triple. Their beer is reasonably priced is half the reason why I like them a lot. Besides that I like Chimay's triple and grand cru, Dogfish head worldwide stout and their 120 IPA (both 18% alc. content). I have cut back on my beer intake a lot but I still like to indulge every once in a while. Osu!

I have only found a couple of beers that I have ever enjoyed... mostly home brews, or micro-brewery stuff. All with honey, and not very bitter.
Really, when it comes down to it, I only drink if it there's no mead to be found.

Oh come on Ros...maybe you haven't found a good one you like yet?
The grocery store by my house offers a sampler 6 pack; you choose the beers! I grabbed a few old favorites (like Sapporo, Sweetwater 420 Blue) and a few that I hadn't tried before: Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier, Fat Tire and a few others.
The pack is a bit pricier than a regular six pack ($9.99), but far cheaper than buying a sixer of something I'm not going to drink!
OSU!
