startingstrength.com/index.php/site/evidence_based_behavioral_practiceInteresting video with some stuff we know. Cool to write down some keywords for googling later on. One thing I did not know was that nerve impulses trigger contractions that give tone to muscle. I always thought it was a matter of lifting style, bodybuilding "puffy muscles" or strength training IE PTTP "dense muscles". Interesting note regarding lifting and how often to lift. He suggested instead of a alternating lift day or all out "leg day" that you find a set/rep style that could be used for daily training to facilitate optimal muscle growth. Easy Strength, Simple and Sinister.

More and more its not one thing. There are lots of points that are linking to hormonal response. Some people have more of a certain type of that hormone that allows certain fiber growth.
