If everything works out I'm going to provide more details on a weird opportunity that I'm more of an adviser and "information" man on. This may not even work out but if it does it will have a current professional fighter that fights at a very high level teaching in the Seattle area. There is a lot of information I'm going to leave out and especially right now.
I know this seems like a silly thread but if it all works out I think many of you will understand why it's so "secretive." I will say this, I know all of the parties very well and this could actually give me a ultra-cheap to free place to teach a few days a week all within vicinity of the Seattle area. I had to backspace this post a lot because I wanted to say more but know I shouldn't. Osu!

Details are still murky but the timing may have been off so I'll spill the beans this much.
A friend of mine I met many years ago through training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coincidentally met somebody I knew but this somebody is pretty well known world wide and not somebody I've ever talked about on here because it's not like I'm best friends with the guy. Anyhow, a K-1 fighter who started a few years after I started fighting but has been fighting for a consistent 16-17 years (he started young) is interested in possibly teaching. I am more of a consultant in this because the fighter (lots of K-1 fights) really doesn't know how to teach beginners and really knows how to train fighters. I'm trying to get somebody else I know who has a syllabus and is a very knowledgeable instructor to sort of give this individual honorary teaching rights or whatever you want to call them as long as I supervise what's going on. Now, I wouldn't be teaching this fighter much besides a syllabus of techniques he already knows and a method of teaching. The techniques, knowing how to hold pads, and fighting ability is already there so it's a weird scenario.
The reason why this fighter doesn't know how to train beginners is because who trained him wasn't a trainer but a pro fighter. Basically, he was thrown in with the sharks when he was 14-15 and survived long enough to become a shark. It's a method that works for some, but not all. It's also a method that unfortunately doesn't groom the best instructors without prior experience. To rewind back to the beginning "Mr. Hollywood" has been trying to get my first friend I mentioned to teach when he doesn't have the friend so we may acquire the dojo if the pieces came together at the right time. It's a much longer and complicated story but Mr. Hollywood doesn't even own the dojo.
As I said it's a bit confusing and Mr. Hollywood isn't what I would call somebody that's a friend and he wouldn't lose anything. My role is more seeing if I can help set things up, oversee that things are going as they should, and so forth. In return, I would have a commercial spot to teach a few days a week and more if it took off. At this point, things are moving so slow I'm not holding my breath and it really wasn't my idea to begin with. Just at the weird place at the strange time. Osu!
