is how this class is billed. If you know the New York area Kyokushin/knockdown scene you might recognize a few faces.
I guess there is something comforting about consistency. This class looks like many I have participated in. In fact, when I first viewed it, I followed right along kciking and punching as I were there. Yup, it's as if I never left. Enjoy.

Thanks Meguro. A good watch. You can certainly pick the people who do basics regularly in their own classes. By contrast there were a couple who looked like they weren't sure what hit them.
If as billed it is as Oyama would have taught it. I'm pleased our organisation hasn't drifted very far. This isn't a vast departure from any given Monday.
Osu!

To be fair, the participants aren't all 100% Kyokushin, though close derivatives to be sure (Enshin, World Oyama, eg.). Since it was a seminar, and not a regular class or test, I did get the impression that things were a bit relaxed.

We recently returned from Malaysia where we participated in the All Asia Tournament, a training seminar with Shihan Midori, Shihan Miyoshi and Shihan Koi and dan test. The training at the seminar and the promotion test was nearly identical to the video. Shihan Midori is an awesome instructor and VERY approachable and personable.

A challenging class; many dojo's aren't providing effective and challenging curriculums. Thank you, Meguro.
