I will try to check this weekend.
I was at 223 but we will see. I have been lifting again but then also doing a lot of conditioning work too.
More interested in the waistline shrinking.

I have lost.... LOST I SAY ..... 1 lb since my last weigh in several weeks ago no idea how that happened, as I have probably eaten and drank my own weight in the last 3 weeks!! Alcohol drops your weight mate, I hit 70 the day I got back, was that a Sunday? I'm still not sure you wait till you start re-hydrating! Had a happy day last week, committed to buying new trousers for my two favourite suits, £200.00 worth but in 34" rather than the strained 36" I used to wear, to be honest when I bought them a year or so before I really needed 38's but could not bring myself to buy them, I was a skinny kid and I knew it was all just laziness that had got out of hand. after a couple of months staying at a steady 71-73kG and 34" and below waist I'm happy that this is me for the long term so a worthwhile investment as if I feel any sort of strain on these I'll be back in the gym, on the bike, in the dojo...anything but going back above 34". ......still waiting to sort out my physio for my back though and until I get this sorted I really can't really focus on competing.

So since using my practical tips I've learned over the years I've felt more energetic but didn't lose as much weight as I was hoping to. I was thinking to myself today, "great, I'm going to have to cut weight like I did when I used to compete in Muay Thai" which was never fun for me. Then I went on facebook and I have noticed Nicholas Pettas talk about this diet he's been on and how he's lost some weight over the last 3 weeks. I haven't been following his comments that much but I have noticed he says how "easy" it is because he eats a lot and posts pictures of his meals...I just figured, he's Nicholas Pettas, that won't apply to me. So he posts info about this four hour body diet, I google it, find the site, and buy the book. Should be here this Monday and I'm going to give it a go. I know Shihan Cameron Quinn has also posted about a similar diet. I'll let you all know how it works, definitely going to have to grocery shop a bit differently then I have been from info I've seen about this but thankfully I'm not a picky eater. Here's the website: www.fourhourbody.com/The book is about $14 on amazon, 15 and change after tax (I have a prime account). The allure of this "diet" for me is I like to eat and from what I'm reading about this diet is you do eat, you just eat healthy...oh well, enough talk, I'll let you know how it goes for me next week. Osu!

I try to just eat sensibly and healthily in moderation which seems to be working for me. I couldn't eat the crap he describes. Mind you, sitting here I've just realised I've done about 12 jaffa cakes so clearly a certain amount of self-control is lacking Gary

I've been forced to eat worst and being allowed one day a week isn't that much of a stretch to eat whatever I want. I usually do that on the weekends anyway but have made it two.
I'll do things a little bit differently then the four hour body book, though. The main thing is I'll eat whatever vegetables I want (minus corn, but I don't count that, anyway). Osu!

I try to just eat sensibly and healthily in moderation which seems to be working for me. Luckily, I haven't made myself a liar as I've lost another 2 pounds this week. Hooray, just 4 more pounds to go and I will have lost my target stone. I think I'm the lightest I've been since I was twenty-something! ;D

Wow!
90+ this weekend. That's a few over my best fighting weight.
Better change my motto. Instead of 'TAKE NO SH*T!', until I get down a bit it'll be
'EAT NO SH*T!'

Officially started the 4HB/"slow carb" diet today. So far, from reading and finding some good recipes...and also planning out what to buy from the grocery store I have ate some very filling meals that have made me full without that "I need to lay down like I'm a beached whale" feeling.
One thing I will say right off is you use a lot of lentils, legumes, beans, etc. in this "diet". They basically are your carbs. If you don't like beans, this diet probably isn't for you.
So hopefully in a few weeks I'll notice some good results if not I'm satisfied so far with the healthy food I'm eating which isn't all bad.
I also already ate lots of tomatoes which are allowed and the only "bad" thing for me is really the only dairy I'm allowed is cottage cheese but I'm still going to drink my probiotic drink every morning (have read of some others on this diet that do the same).
I'll let you all know if this works for me. I know Shihan Cameron Quinn and Nicholas Pettas are getting good results on it.
My breakfast planned tomorrow is a egg white scramble with organic chili beans, broccoli and cauliflower mixed with some pico de galla. Also going to have a dollop of cottage cheese with it, too and ice water. Osu!
