What's your favorite way of doing a mawashi geri? So many variations of the mawashi geri and without a doubt my favorite kick but I use different variations of it depending on distance and target. I like the chudan chusoku mawashi geri to the liver, gedan mawashi geri to the thigh, and MT style dtae to the neck. I have a couple other variations I'll keep to myself you might see if you spar me . I'm a natural southpaw but as an instructor I often fight and teach in an orthodox stance which makes me lead chusoku mawashi geri to the liver ideal . Also makes me feel like Da La Hoya using my lead left hook when sparring with punches allowed to the head . Osu!

mawashi gedan is my strongest kick, and i am constantly tinkering with it! I just see to be happy and then i'm either shown a variation or i stumble on some other way i prefer. As for chudan, i naturally cut up into the lower rib with it. But both tmd and my sensei say i should be cutting across into the ribs instead. As for jodan......well it's coming

Since I am not very flexible, at all really. I tend to throw most of my mawashigeri to the thigh and mid level. If I am throwing chudan I like to use the top of my foot to the floating ribs. I sometimes use chusoku on chudan, but if if I do that I use more of a mikazukigeri than mawashigeri.
Osu!

I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything!

any way that hits and hurts ;D i do like throwing the chusoku into the liver/floating ribs/kidney/thigh and like rolling my gedan mawashi's across the front of the thigh. also if the opponent isn't over much over 6' the jodan will just reach (damn those short, fat, hairy legs )

Fortunately most people I ever seem to spar are only 5'11" tops for some weird reason. Osu!

Thai-style gedan mawashi geri to the thighs all day every day. If I kick their legs off they can't run away, and if they can't run away that means I can grab and throw them to my heart's content. Also I'm not flexible enough to kick anyone not my dad in the head, so there goes that option.
