Same here. The dumbbell snatches , barbell shotput, man, he's really creative in his approach to training. He really got me into skipping rope and I'm more impressed by the way he does it than Buddy Lee's fancy routines...
Oh, and look at Buakaw Por Pranuk, he doesn't train with the latest, cutting edge routines (hello UFC), and yet look at him he looks more durable than Gago Drago.
I recently had (and still have) the privilege of training with a friend of mine who is a point guard in basketball. He is also built like Bukaw, yet only does bodyweight exercises and occassional lifting heavy stuff like rice sacks, trains in basketball, runs, etc.
As pointed in The Naked Warrior, a true warrior has complete control over his body. I often smirk at guys who can bicep curl or lat pull down heavily but can't even perform one decent pull-up...

Of all the training sites I've visited his advice is the most honest and the least commercially driven.
A rare thing these days.
