Just borrowed this from the Nidan at my dojo. Pretty interesting book and it adds to what Kurz had in Scientifically Stretching. www.dragondoor.com/shop-by-department/books/b14/Basically Pavel says its your body's software(nervus system) that is the culprit on the deep stretches. Worth a read if you are interested in flexibility.

There are some great upper body stretches in here!
My upper back has been sore and stiff and a few of the upper back stretches in here have helped a ton!
