For those of us that live where you can legally carry concealed weapons, who does? I'm just now starting this, before I didn't feel the need to, but for some reason it just makes sense to me, now. I'm typically the "body guard" of any group of people that I'm with at a given time. I make sure everyone is safe, and am always on "alert mode," with the growing rate of crime or perhaps me becoming more aware, it seems like I have little to no choice but to carry. I'm shopping for some good handguns that I can actually conceal, there are plenty of handguns I love, but they're not concealed handgun material! With that being said I'm going to probably get a 9mm due to the ammo being cheap here. I may go with a glock...bersa...maybe, even an HK. I have an HK45 and a mossberg 500 that I inherited. I'm considering selling my HK45, ok, back to my point of this thread LOL. Who here carries concealed handguns and who thinks we shouldn't, and why? I'm not the typical "gun freak," I'm actually very practical when it comes to vehicles and guns. I don't go for the most expensive vehicle and gun out there. I look for something that's good quality, that does what I'm looking for. With a hand gun, you want a gun that feels somewhat comfortable (there are plenty that don't!), and that is reliable, and will last. With a concealed handgun you want all of this plus something small enough that you can conceal. Osu!

I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything!

Found the PERFECT side arm for you- www.cz-usa.com/products/view/cz-p01/joking aside I'm a big fan of CZ rifles (my .308win and .22lr are CZ's) which are quality, extremely reliable and accurate, i've heard the handguns are the same

I have a Hi-Point 9mm, which I've found to be impressively accurate for a budget handgun. Plus, it's entirely American made, which I approve of. Only problem is that the feed ramp is powder coated and sometimes bullets get stuck on it, but that's a quick fix with some careful sanding.
As for carrying... I generally don't. Considering that I spend most of my time on campus, and PCC doesn't really approve of students packing heat, I generally leave it at home. I do sometimes smuggle a bootknife when I have to walk home in the dark, however.

I carry regularly admittedly, which drives my wife nuts sometimes so I often have to hide the fact from her. I prefer a Glock 27, .40 cal.

Standard is 9 rounds, which is pretty decent. Unless you have small hands it really helps to get the grip extender which you can see in the photo (the extra portion near the magazine end).

Bigal, I was considering picking up the glock 27, but am looking at the 26, the only difference being 9mm instead of .40 cal. I really don't care if the handgun is made here or not, most of the good handguns are not made in the USA...colt has some good ones but a bit out of my budget ...and of course night hawk has some awesome 1911s but I'm not going to shell out $3k+ LOL. The CZ-P01 is in my price range, I'll have to do some more research. Unfortunately I'm not finding it at any gun shops in my area...and I'm impatient LOL. As soon as my CPL (concealed pistol license) comes through, which I'm hoping is towards the end of next week...I'm going shopping LOL! I may even go to a gun show this weekend that my gun crazy buddy says has some great deals. I'm looking to be one of those "military guys" that gets a customized M4 clone here soon, as well. It's mostly for nostalgia/retro for me..since I shot so many times in the Army with an M4 I'd like to keep that habit. What cracks me up is how many non-military fork out the bucks to get a M4 clone or SCAR....I don't understand that, but, to each is own. I'm curious to anybody on here that disagrees with carrying a concealed pistol, and why? Osu!

Narrowed down my purchase to a Springfield XD 9mm subcompact. Some people don't like the springfield XD's but after lots of research I'm now a big fan. The price for them is a bit cheaper then a Glock (unless you get on a glock hero program or are a member of the glock "club"). The ambidextrous features of the XD's is a big plus for me, since I am left handed . I know, there are some ambidextrous features on some Glocks, but not all of them that I want, and not on all Glocks. The subcompact XD also has an option of a shorter mag or a longer one; so, less ammo, or more ammo . Also comes with a few mags and a holster! Osu!

Going for the XD(m) due to being able to carry 19 + 1 in the chamber for a compact combined with the price and quality sold me! Osu! Ps. Will provide picks when it's in my hands but waiting on my CPL to arrive first so maybe 2 weeks give or take
