I don't know yet MMX ask me tomorrow or the day after Luckily with this new split I won't have to lift again until Friday. The rest of the time can be used to gingerly shake out the DOMS on the Jump Rope/Heavy Bag. I have read that fish oil helps to reduce inflammation (DOMS). I am currently at 7.2 grams @ 170# BW. I haven't gotten runny yet....

Yeah Dan John mentions that in Easy Strength.
Take enough to get runny and then back off a capsule till you are not.

I still don't know what runny means. I hope I never have to find out.
Still working on project ScanRTK. Slow going because of after hours usage of office equipment

First sessions after the new two day strength training split. Not only am I splitting up my days, but adding in additional assistance work.
The assistance work is approximately 40% of my 1rm and so I can do a set of 10 fairly easily. 1 minute rest between sets
The main block of 5/3/1 should take approximately 30 minutes including rest times. The assistance work should take 15 - 20 minutes.
That's the goal anyway.
______
MISC Training Days 07182012/07192012
Surprisingly minimal symptoms of DOMS the day after (07182012). I have some slight soreness in the hamstring region but nothing that makes me immobile like a hard bout of squats.
On another note, my energy level was shot and my heavy bag work consisted of a lot of huffing under my breath due to lack of motivation and energy. CNS overload/stress/fatigue?
Today (07192012) was much better. I worked on combinations and felt much better overall.
35 minutes total Jab/Jab, L. Hook/Cross/Cross, R. Hook Jab, Mawashi/Cross, Mawashi Jab, L Hook R. Mawashi/Cross, L Hook, Cross Mawashi Jab, L Hook(Grab) R. Hiza/Jab, Cross, Cross Stepping L Hiza Single Mawashi/Double Mawashi/Hiza Geri, Mawashi/Mae Geri, Mawashi
Ready to lift on Friday!
Immobile Saturday to watch Batman.

WO 1Squat (165,190,215) 5/5/6 Bench Press (135,160,180) 5/5/5 Assistance Work Front Squat - 5 sets: (Barbell, Barbell, 75#, 75#) x 10 - A little ambitious with the barbell front squat. The technique to stabilize the bar was a little much in the wrist so I took it slow. - May try to do DB front squat to maximize time and minimize wrist soreness DB Bench Press - 10 reps L/R @ 45#, 45#, 50#, 50# BW Rope Pullups 8, 7, 7 I do not know if it is necessary to go below parallel on the back squat... I am able to go below parallel comfortably up to 205 it seems or it may be a mental block on the last set to go to parallel using the safety on the squat rack as a back up. EDIT: I suppose that's not bad on the bench if I was previously doing 195 x 3, 175 x 5 and 185 x 3. I'll take that and change the smiley. Especially considering it was after heavy squats.

Nice numbers! I had a big write-up on front squats, but found this vid better than my explanation.
