What's some of your favorite MMA fighters?
For a few years now mine has been Anderson Silva. My reason why is because he is so damn well rounded and his footwork is just so slick.
Of course I like a lot of others but A. Silva is my favorite to watch. Osu!

Drew Fickett, because I got to learn wrestling and basic kickboxing from him for about six months. It's a lot easier for me to be interested in someone's fights if I've met them than for some random burke.

I gotta go with GSP.
Mostly because of his respect but it is also due to his fighting ability.

I also like Shinya Aoki, GSP, Duane Ludwig, and more...
In the 90s I was actually a big fan of Tito Ortiz because I was probably one of the few that digged his attitude towards the Lion's Den. I also was a huge fan of Frank Shamrock but fast forward a little bit and Wanderlei Silva in pride along with Sakuraba! My, oh my this is in my opinion when MMA started to really evolve into more well rounded fighters and now with the current batch of the top dogs.
With all of that being said I could never understand why Chuck Lidell was as popular as he was, I never got it. As a person, he's probably a great guy but as a fighter I saw so much stuff that he was doing wrong but he made it work for him..for a while.
I also was a huge GSP fan a few years back but over the last few years it seems like he purposely follows game plans to "fight safe" which means go the distance. Yes, it still takes skill to do this but I'm not a fan of fighters that try to do this in the majority of their fights. I'll always favor the fighter that goes for it and tries to win by a submission or KO/TKO. This is probably the main reason why I like Anderson Silva so much because he typically wins by by a submission or tko/ko, not going the distance and against top competition.
Osu!

Anderson Silva's #1, for the same reasons -- get in there, hard, after recon'--, then GSP.

I liked Sakuri and Kawajiri. All the other MMA fighters I enjoy watching are former K-1/Pride

Old favorite to watch was Tito Ortiz
Then it became Urijah Faber
After him, Anderson Silva..
And currently, favorite fighter is Jon "Bones" Jones. Best fighter in MMA at the moment, hands down.
Not sure the distaste people have towards him. He always comes across very mannerable and respectful and maintains good behavior outside of the cage, from what I gather.
Seems that people who make these claims against him are pointing out his behavior towards an opponent who has disrespected him. And personally I'm all for it. I'd rather that than for him to be sending his opponents flowers and chocolate.
