Anybody get these? I have a pair of throwdown leather Thai pads I bought a while back through combat sports for only 50 or 60 bucks that are some of the greatest pair of Thai pads I have ever owned...and what makes them even better is, they were only 50 to 60 bucks! Combat sports also has, or had flat shipping for $5, no matter what the size of the order, in the USA. I don't work, or am sponsored by combat sports, but IMHO, they're one of the best suppliers for the money in the USA for "full contact" martial art equipment. It's too bad they don't have knockdown karate uniforms, too. Osu!

Throwdown makes some quality gear but I tend to buy Twins or King. They're a little more expensive but cheaper than Grants or Cleto's. I'm a gear junkie. Combat Sports has some good prices. For KD, I bought the Full Contact Dogi from Ebogu. It is durable and nice for the price. Osu

I will admit that Twins/King/etc. are better, but they also cost more I have Twins pads as well, and have had Thaismai in the past, but to get something equivalent to my throwdown leather Thai pads for Twins or any other "top" brand would have costed me much more. I'm actually not a fan of the Thai style shin pads, I have a pair of leather ones that are still ticking 12+ years later, but you have to adjust them all the time. I prefer the "MMA/grappling/shooto" style shin pads much more so. Osu!
