Kata for the general public to watch or nay? In my opinion, I would keep the kata in house which may already be happening and/or was happening. Real open tournaments for kata rarely ever work out for those performing "kata" that the judges don't know or from another style/fraction that may have different nuances.
General public usually isn't the biggest fan of kata competition. I may make it, depends what I have going on at that point and how my fiancee is doing with her health. Osu!

We have done it the past few tournaments we have had. It has been pretty good. We have a panel of judges from different dojos/orgs, one of them outside of Kyokushin, who have done really well at judging for what is presented in the kata and being fair.
This year there will be a two round approach, possibly brackets, for the kata division. I am in process of finalizing the rules.
And PO1, if you are up to it and interested, you probably could participate in judging. (contact me offline if interested)

Seattle,
You're always a class act and I'll message you in the near future. I'll more than likely come to the tournament regardless, either way. Osu!

Registration is open. Plans are coming together. We are having a seniors women's division as well. Hoping to at least.
