I saw this video that someone shared on my Facebook feed. I can't help but watch videos like these and think that we were made for a purpose. It's only by luck that we are able to find it out during an age that we can do something about it. Dan John mentions that in Easy Strength that we could be the world's best <something> but would not know unless we tried.
Just sharing this video than anything else. I am intrigued by the idea of body type dictating the way a punch/kick is thrown to be more effective. Similar in nature to body type having effect on lifting etc.

I think some folks are more genetically suited for certain things especially athletic ability. I also believe if you are not with some hard effort and determination you can overcome your own limitations.

Talent is a head start but solid determined practise is the difference in the long run. (IME)

Little kids like to impress their elders by imitation. It is how they learn to speak and pick up other high level skills. Start them learning early and they will amaze you.

That's impressive. The ESPN short about the same kid is interesting. Training 10 hours a week at six years old. The boys been training since 2 1/2 years old (probably not the 10 hours but still). Think what you can do with a student in 3 1/2 years training 10 hours a week. I'm sure there is natural talent at play, but most of that is just hard graft. Still it will be interesting to see if "Pretty Boy BamBam?" is a household name in 15 years.
