Since I wrote 'The Way of Knockdown' I've had lots of emails about knockdown training methods and how to improve. I always ask for a clip of the persons latest fight and request/offer confidentiality in all directions. I spend time slowly reviewing them and the same mistakes feature in most. Poor leverage, poor footwork, the wrong strikes at the wrong times, etc.
I then offer a few suggestions and sometimes get thanks, sometimes an argument and sometimes hear nothing. Sadly most want an easy way to win a really hard tournament without upsetting their own instructor. Not easy by any means but especially by email. So I'm going to have to stop. It's taking time and patience and I seem to have less these days of both.
I can only help now via personal training. In my 'career' I travelled 1000's of miles to get new ideas, so a trip to Loughborough for a one-to-one seems a small effort to make. I don't pretend to have all the answers but the suggestions I do have are best given face to face. There will be a charge for such training.
Osu!

Pull out the stops, Gary. Maybe put up a video on YT of your classes, with an eye towards giving seminars around the world. Good ideas and good people have an instant appeal.
