In my opinion this is a huge mistake.
First, the JKF have always looked down their noses at Kyokushin and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
Second, Olympic inclusion was the death of respect for TKD
So although this might raise the profile of Kyokushin, you might find it only does so in a negative way.

I agree, Gary. Big mistake, big step backwards. Better that IKO supports Ashihara, Enshin, Kudo or MMA, than JKF. From Ultimate truth to Ultimate Failure.

Very interesting. It seems to me to be a matter of let's get KARATE in no matter what the cost. The cost could be very great....

This is why I never talk about karate now, as it's image is going to ratshite and if it gets in the Olympics it will dive even further.
I talk about knockdown and I talk about ENSHIN

If a knockdown karate ruleset is not in place for Karate then I won't support it. I don't want people confusing what we teach with WKF point fighting.

If it's not knockdown... I don't want it, it's that simple to me, and, knockdown will never be allowed as an Olympic sport as it stands.
