Congratulations on your promotion to Sandan!
Getting strong then helping others.
It's been a pleasure to watch your progress.

Congrats, MMX! Would be great to hear some of your thoughts on your testing experience. Osu! Not too much to tell. I feel like the way my Sensei does this is he is testing you all the time. Test day is a formality. We did the usual class on Saturday - Warm ups,Sanbon,Kata,Sabaki- Then I had to do the Ryu Sui kata alone no count. Then we had a break. Kumite- lots of kumite, used as much sabaki as I could. Another guy was testing for his SHODAN and he is 5" taller and about 85# heavier than me. He did get 2 really good gedan mawashi geri on my left. That hurt. On my rest I massaged my leg- did that each round. Last few rounds I had to switch to southpaw to keep that leg safe as it was too sore to use for sune uke anymore. There were some great rounds. Lots of good hitting but lots of good sabaki. Everyone even kind of had fun! Imagine that!
