Long time no see.
Hope you've all been well.
I'm not saying why or how I quit karate for 7 years. I know there's many experienced and knowledgeable karate practicioners here. So I thought I'd take advantage of this and ask about it...
Could you please give me some advice about going back to training after not doing karate for 7 years?
I found this new dojo, aside some deja vu moments, there's also some stuff I don't know about... Should I reclaim my previous grade (2nd Kyu) or start again from the white belt? I really don't care about starting over, you see. But the Sensei in charge insists I should use my previously earned grade even though there will you obviously be a lot of catching up to do.
Anyway, guess I'll see how things unfold this time.
