I've decided to lose 14 pounds over the next couple of months and wondered if anyone else might like to join in? I thought having a communal spreadsheet might be a great motivational tool! If you want to copy this link into your browser you can access the spreadsheet - just add your details on the next row down. If you open the BMI sheet, you can add your weight and height and it will work out your BMI too. If anyone wants to gain weight, feel free to use it too. spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AjPGgNQF_52xdGE3RmJ3ZlVqT3J5aDhvUXF1WkNUUmc&hl=en&authkey=CMDy_IoOI got my 'weight zero' last week and will be doing my weigh-in every Sunday morning. I fully understand if no-one wants to join in and won't be offended! ;D

I am in.
I may only weigh in every other week though. I find weekly there is not enough change.
I also think BMI is bollocks.
But I will join in your crusade!
I am more concerned with inches on the waist.

Thanks, Mike. Yes, I agree waist measurement is usually a better tell than BMI but that didn't give me the opportunity to play with formulae! I have added a waist measurement sheet if you would like to use it (have called the weeks A, B etc. for periodic measuring).

I'm in. I just need to convert my measurements from kg though.

Great! I like pounds better than kilos because you can lose more of them (and also I have to do calculations in my head otherwise).

True, but they sound horrible when you realise how many you have This is the first time I've ever seen my weight in pounds ;D

;D
Have also added a cumulative weight loss/gain sheet that will populate automatically.

Weigh-in for me today. I was actually looking forward to it as I have resisted temptation all week. Optimism justified as I have lost 4 pounds! I'm now trying to convince myself that it doesn't mean I can have some of the birthday cake I've made for my Mum! ;D

Good start, Ros. I'll have to wait until I get home on Wednesday or Thursday to do my weigh-in. The scale where I work is deranged. I got on it this morning and got three wildly different readings - none of them good.

Best of luck Ros, a great idea. I think most of us (martial artists) are naturally competitive and having a target or a competitor is a great motivator.
My Sensei and I raced off 5kG recently, we'd both lost motivation and he was looking at getting the 5kG he needed for the up coming Scottish Cup a bridge too far, especially as due injuries I'd had to pull out of the tourney and drop a lot of my training, a lot of which we'd done together..... he is now a LW having lost the full 5kG's with 2 weeks to go.... but I beat him to the 5kG's and have lost another kG since. Stuck at 72 ish at the mo but have the bug to get to 70kG.

Well done Ros! The offer to eat all your cakes still stands, you know, just in case you weaken! Gary
