Good luck to everyone on their weight loss/gain plans!
@po1, you might want to keep the window opened just a crack. Lentils, legumes and beans in an enclosed space spell fire hazard. ;D

If you soak your beans or drain them if you're using canned ones this prevents the phenomenon of farting a lot. I think I've farted less then I normally do, which I wouldn't have believed would have happened ahead of time. However, the book warns (common sense moment) if it still causes you to have a lot of gas to use beano or something similar . Osu!

88kgs Down 3 kg's in a week. I know that sounds drastic but I'm not starving myself, just cutting out the crap. Cakes Sweets Chocolate Crisps Fruesli's Chinese BeerI was no slob before but simply replacing the odd 'treat' from the list above with fruit, excessive tea and coffee with chilled water and upping the KB swings has already made a difference. I feel more rampant as well, as a bonus I'm having a brew and one of Ros' cookies right now, as a reward Gary

I've lost another 2 pounds this week, so 2 to go before I've lost a stone. (I wonder what weight I will need to be before I don't think I'm fat? )

Shocking, lost 2 pounds in 2 days and was eating til' I was full.
I'm not expecting that every 2 days but I'll be happy if I can get 1.5 to 2 pounds a week for the next few months.
I will say this eating plan for me is making me realize how much I really do live on carbs. Osu!

Hooray! I'm now 15 pounds lighter and have reached my target weight. Might try for another half stone (or might not as holiday season is nearly here).

I've never had more than short term success by 'going on a diet'. As soon as I lost weight I would go back to eating how I did before, so guess what happened? What I've tried to do more recently is to make sustainable changes so that I eat this way forever - it's been surprisingly easy so far.

Exactly Ros.
Whenever I tried "Diets" I would lose weight but gain it right back. Now its more of an evolving lifestyle change.

Cut out the crap already so it just means reducing grains etc. Can't see YouTube from here, but why would you want to reduce grains?

I won't be cutting them out, just (hopefully) making better choices.
It's too easy to "use up the loaf" or "might as well finish off the pasta"
It's moderation I need, rather than trying to be 'paleolithic', although they present a good argument for not eating overly refined foods.

Not sure what it was but the slow carb "diet" I was on seemed to be affecting my sleep greatly. At first I thought it would just take a few days will after about 2 weeks of sleeping like crap I gave up following it so strict.
However, I did lose weight on it but I need sleep. I'm going to do a bit more reading on this to see what I need to do. Maybe I'm just accustomed to eating carbs for dinner and going to bed a few hours later?
Anyhow, I had a great sweat inducing training session last night so I figure I'll stick to eating veggies, fruits, and lots of water every day plus the sweat inducing sessions. Osu!

Happy with that.
Been on holiday. Tried loads of different beers, ate chips, no hard exercise just long walks with two borrowed dogs, lost 3kg.
How does that work?
