never tried LSD, had some mates have bad trips and that put me right off LMAO! ;D ;D

I wouldn't.
You should get all the general endurance you need from the dojo.
For that bit extra I'd find yourself a hill about 100 yards long at a gradient that allows you to sprint up at full stretch (I use a bridge ramp) Do that a few times jogging back down for recovery. It's as hard as you make it and a lot easier on the joints that jogging.
Loughborough has a sports University and I live on a path to 'The Outwoods'. Every day dozens of people jog past my house, most with their knees strapped up and looking in poor shape. If you go into the gym there - 'Powerhouse' - you see the sprinters and throwers training. I know how I'd rather look.

I explained this to a buddy that just took up "jogging"
Afterwards he was eager to try sprinting and more HIIT training.
