Coaching last night. Today - Task: StrengthRoutine 7 from Infinite Intensity with a twist. Stopping the set if the rep speed drops. In practise that means forgetting about numbers, just continuing the set until the speed falls. Then stop. "When training with submaximal loads, speed is king. Apply maximum acceleration right from the start, stop each set when your speed slows, and forget about a specific number of reps for any set. Let your speed determine when it’s time to rest. Apply this simple principle to your training sessions and you’ll quickly develop new muscle and power" Gary EDIT: That felt great! Teaching this morning. Good effort!
Task: Stamina
20 minutes speedplay on grass. Felt a bit rough halfway through so a waste of time really. Never mind. Next time will be better ...

Fueling up is important and we usually have pasta night on Fridays because of training on Saturday mornings.
Thank you for the excellent ideas again Gary regarding explosive, fast movements.

Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Back to Doctors. Finally chest is clear.
Thursday - Coaching
Today
Task - Strength
Routine 1 from Infinite Intensity, using reasonable weights and working by rep speed again instead of numbers.
Speed drops = weight down.
Simples!

Saturday - Coaching then speedplay (20 mins) Monday - Coaching Tuesday Task - Power. Routine 3 from Infinite Intensity taking each set only to the point where the move loses speed.Love that little tip and feeling the benefits already. Gary

Coaching 0800 - 0900 Football 0930 - 1100 Lawns & Gardening 1130 - 1230 Speedplay 1230 - 1300 Rest of the day's mine. Outside in the sun with a beer and a little tele. Oh hang on, apparently she's been waiting for me to stop playing so we can go to IKEA. Oh, and the two youngest need taking to parties later - at the same time and 5 miles apart Gary
