I was bummed that I missed the HKC here in Tucson about 3 years ago as I had just started KB training. They are having an SFG KB User course in May but I took basically the same thing from the local SFG Team leader here 1.5 years ago. At this point I just need to work back up to my DBL SWG volume and work on my technique on Clean/Snatch/Press to go forward with the SFG course.

Cheese Grater? LOL. Funny how domestic kitchen items can disable an able Karate user.

Yeah it was in a fit of angry cheese grating too. I did not notice the block was down to a nub and *blam* my left click mouse finger has a nice hole. At least I can focus on building up LH side for awhole. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUAqL8GJlcs

Cheese Grater? LOL. Funny how domestic kitchen items can disable an able Karate user. Are you kidding? The deadliest items in my arsenal are in the kitchen. If the blades in my knife block don't get you, over time, my sauté pan and butter will.

20140401Dojo day - Japan Festival Demo Practice - Lots of Kumite 24kg 2H swing 60, 20, 20 16kg TGU 3/3, 2/2 20140402Light ROP 3 x 3 Set 1 and 2. 32kg CnP first rep, CnPP on last two Set 3. 24kg CnP for safety - Building up strength to endure with the 32kg KB. Less upper body rotation on the OHP. Good progress. 16kg Snatch 20/20 7:00 – rest as needed – 80 reps - Blech. 20140403Dojo day - Body conditioning - Punch only kumite 32kg 1H swing 10 x 10 untimed 24kg TGU 1/1 x 5 - 32kg 1H swing less rotation at the top, good. Still being pulled in to the bottom, bad. 2014040424kg 1H swing 10 x 10 untimed 16kg TGU 1/1 x 5 Will be posting this same information here: www.atosdojo.com/blog/- Currently running through Brett Jones SFG prep cycle to see how involving it is and what type of stress it would put on a family man. Also to see if conditioning for the SFG and training for the Snatch test can be done side-by-side as the program suggests. Currently in the ROP part of the cycle. “With this kettlebell in my bedroom I can prepare myself for the Nationals.” ~ Dan John. We shall see.

20140405 - 20140407 Heavy RoP 24kg 5 x 5
Pretty much rested the weekend. I have been experiencing some pain in my left knee, but it just struck me today that it could be from the way I am sitting at work. My original thought was the stress on the joint due to Quadricep tension in the RoP OHP. Surprisingly after a few hours today the knee feels so much better. What's weird though is that I experienced it over the weekend as well. Jury still out. To be determined...
Allergies making it impossible to recover. Will give a rest another day and see how it goes.

Yeah my allergies are bad too!! Maybe try the foam roller on your quads. Could be higher up the leg than you think.

Don't you guys take anything for your allergies? If I didn't, I'd need to live like the boy in the plastic bubble.

I took a rest from 04/07/14 to 04/14/14
Wanted to isolate the knee issue and I believe it is solely from bad sitting posture at work! Glad it's not from the tension in the press.
I had been picking up the 32kg and pressing it throughout the week.
Back on the road again with the RoP until the end of the month.
