Your basic is Jab,Straight, Gedan Mawashi Geri
From there there are lots of options.
I tend to try to get to the outside ASAP so I will also do
Jab,Straight,Left Body shot,Hiki Kazushi,Hiza Geri,MAwashi Geri to Makikomi Nage.
Hard to explain on a forum. Check out some fighter vids on youtube.

Anyone got a list or suggest me some good combinations to practice for knockdown karate? What type of combinations do you call for on pads?

I can't not help but think of everything as part of some set of combinations. But since you ask, here is a treasure trove of combinations youtu.be/PURKolMgALk

The main thing I look for in a combo is either to set up a big technique or for each technique to be strong in it's own right by going across the hips so for example my go to combo is lead inside thigh kick, rear gakuski, lead shitaski, rear leg mawashigeri....wherever is open I also like using the same side in quick succession - so inside thigh, rear hand gakuski, lead hand shitaski then a Gedan or Chudan Hiza-Geri with a Mawashigeri Jodan to hopefully finish....but... Another tendancy of mine is to finish a comb on the alternate so if it's been all hands a final kick, if I thrown a head kick I try to finish with a punch off the opposite hand so take the last one where it ended with Jodan Mawashigeri of my rear leg I would aim to land a Oiski before pulling away.

(L) Jab (to the body, i'm not expounding on this, we all know how to work this in KD), (R) Gedan. You can set it up for a (R) Superman punch or the (R) regular moving forward punch then (L) Gedan/Knee. I hope what I said just made sense.
