I am pleased to announce the date for this years International Karate Kyokushinkaikan Open will be Saturday the 18th of may. All fighters with 2 years + experience welcome in the Open. There is a Novice category but this is only for either IKK fighters or under direct agreement with the submitting organization, generally the un-written rule is if they have supported the event previously or we have attended their Novice event they are welcome. There will be juniors and cadets fighting too - this again is the same as the Novice, please note this starts at 10am. The event is a great one to attend as a fighter or spectator as the venue is something else, the crowed very vocal and supportive and the fighting standard (and reffing standard) is very high - I say so myself but it is also a well run event and especially being on the cliff tops over looking the English Channel, in May this time it will be special for sure. Look forward to seeing you all, PM for further details. Trevor. Attachments:

This is a top tournament and one of my favourites of the year! It`s the best venue for atmosphere by far in the U.K, it`s well run and more importantly fair! I would recommend that anybody thinking of fighting, or watching and then having a beer do so...Friendly people who like their karate and also a good time. Every year so far there have been some tremendous fights, last year the heavyweight section was awesome with some new talent to English shores giving some of the old favourites a bashing! It will take a serious sand storm to stop me going.....See you there Trevor and may i have some special seats this year if i ask nicely!?

Just to say this was as expected a very well organised tournament and how brave to put on a junior tournament before a senior one especially with over seventy kids taking part.
The judging was good and Walshy was in the corner for the first time, well done mate and his boy Callum fought like a tiger and came second!
This is my favourite venue out of all of the tournaments and this must surely be only second now to the British open, the venue holds up to a 1000 people with all facilities and creates a great atmosphere.
The IKK really should take a bow, just excellent chaps!!
