See? Totally useful! I'm going to put plants in here. I wish I had a lot of money, and less raccoons. IF that were the case, I'd make a koi pond. What about you lot? Ever do tameshiwari as part of your training? What'd you do with the results?

Hey that is a great idea. We usually just toss it in the dumpster...

Yeh, so do we, but I like this better. :} I think I'll add part-circles to the outside of this one, in different tiers. Make a fancy tiered planter thing. That way I can just keep building on this as I break more bricks. OSU!

[I wish I had a lot of money, and less raccoons. Funny, I wish I had a lot of money and more raccoons. I have to say I've never done any breaking in my life, so maybe that's why I find it a bit of an odd thing to do.

How did you go about the attempt to break a bat? Conditioning wise?

How did you go about the attempt to break a bat? Conditioning wise? I would say by the time you have reached shodan you have done enough conditioning through normal training to have no problems with a bat break. That being said everyone's leg reacts differently. I have very little pain and just a small bruise usually, some guys nothing, some guys huge lumps.

If you get a clean break, I generally feel nothing at all... the only pain is when things don't go to plan!!
