I would just like to thank Senshido and his team for the excellent tournament they held last Sunday 27th October. The tournament was open and held under standard clicker rules, it was well supported at Loch Gilphead Sports Hall, Loch Gilphead, Scotland. About 200 spectators turned up to cheer the children on, as you would expect the organising was slick and the judging fair and and the parents were really appreciative of the job the guys did, fully aware they were doing it for the love of seeing the kids enjoy themselves and improve their karate and not money. At the end Senshido and the judges got a warm and well deserved round of applause, the only bad thing for me was that when we all tried to check into the local pub/hotel we were told they had a flood and (without telling us) they had booked us into a local B&B in a house. We gave it some thought and decided to head back to where we were staying near Glasgow after squaring it with Senshido who was going to join us for a beer. The upside was i decided to blow the hotel money in the Loch Fyne restaurant and i have to say it is absolutely excellent and highly recommended! My boy also won his category and wore the medal in the restaurant and i believe to bed! These guys know how to make you feel welcome, i would highly recommend the Scottish open in February for adults with novice and open categories and of course the adult "afters" Thanks again Senshido, take a bow Shihan!! Wullie took some photo`s and he might be persuaded to post some?
