So I use to just work through serious injuries.
Now I know better to let them heal.
Right now the only one I am worried about is my left Glute/Top Hammie.
It only has discomfort when I try to do a Jodan Mae Geri.
I am going to take it easy on that and skip a few dojo sessions to be sure.

Try a lacrosse ball.
Checkout mobilitywod.com for specifics, but you might just be "glued down". Other than that, I agree; if it feels squirrelly, let it heal!
OSU!

I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything!

It sux, but once you start getting 25+ (in my case) injuries start to happen. It's hard to deal with, especially if you started out as a kid and relatively injury free thinking you're invincible LOL. I know you've talked about this with me the last few days Mike and I recommended you should take a few days off vs. a month or more off from pushing yourself too much. Let your sensei know which I'm sure you did already anyway...in the meanwhile keep texting me ninja books that you think I want! Osu!

Yup. I am taking it easy on the legs for now.
Just hitting the exercise bike and lots of punching for now. ;D

Osu! Glue/hammie pain could be sciatica or some kind of nerve impingement besides a muscle strain. In this case the lacrosse or shinty ball are just the things. Definitely sort out the pain first, otherwise you'll overcompensate and hurt something else.

I've had no hamstring problems since I started bridge running. Obviously they need to be sound and injury free first but sprinting up a slope seems to strengthen them quite well.
I've lost a bit of height on my ke-age's but the advantage of being painfree outweighs that IMO.

It might be a common thing--Illiotybial band Syndrome. ITB. Tightness in the band of muscle/tendons that runs from the butt to the side of knee. Easy stretches are available for this common sports injury.
