The 1979 version of Willie Williams is something else. That version would have
to definitely be in the top 10. Also, Francisco Filho of 1999. Not only was he
the 1st non-Japanese to win the World Open, he also complete the 100 man kumite twice
within a 1.5 year span I believe. One official, one unofficial. Of course, although
Kazumi never won the World Open, he made it to the finals once and the semifinals in 3
consecutive World Opens. I am not sure if any fighter has ever matched that level of
consistency.

They both trained for a time under Shigeru Oyama.
