Beautiful. But too fast to see how's it's done. Would love to train that... Too bad we don't have Enshin here. Osu

Cool video, but I would have gone with industrial metal instead of flute for the back ground music.

Been working on my flow for Sabaki techniques lately. Making me excited for training and teaching. Mostly working on getting the advantage step 1st and then immediately go for your move. Example coming outside right punch use your left to grab shoulder and hook their head with your right hand to gain control. From there you can do many many things.

This is very interesting meguroHere is some Silat and one thing I noticed when I was doing Eskrima was how close the techniques are to Sabaki/Enshin techniques. Block & Counter Throws (although we don't clench)

In the first vid, you might remember that application from traditional kata, slap down then nukite. Obviously, the nukite stands in for anything from palm strikes to eye jabs. When the striking hand goes below the opponent's punch, you can also work in a takedown off the arm (kinda like an arm drag). In the other vid, getting head control takes a decisive slap, or you can use a slap and elbow like much of what you see in traditional karate when we do the haji uchi (just imagine the head being sandwiched between palm and elbow). Once you have your opponent's head tight against your chest, twist and bend at the knees. It's good simple stuff.

It is also the basics of Enshin Sabaki. Pretty neat. We have a newer student with a traditional KMA background and he is really digging the circular movement and the set ups for throws.

Got a kindle book that covers Kuntao(Silat variation) and there is so much in there that is similar or can be modified to work within the Enshin system. Cool stuff!

There's a lot of simple kuntao technique that would transfer very well, and these obviously result in a lot "aha" moments.

Once punch to the head is introduced things change a bit, especially with a boxer who can sting with a jab and change position afterwards. But there are different ways to adapt if one is looking for it. Knockdown Enshin allows for an environment where one can go for a Sabaki anytime and thus drill it in as his natural approach to fighting ...
