LOL
Not quite.
Quality time walking in the fresh air, playing football on the beach or climbing trees with the kids, then ripping fresh food to bits - just what the doctor ordered.
We're meant to live like beasts, not domesticated animals.

I heartily agree, it's funny how when I was younger I avoided fruits, vegetables, and home made food for "fast food" but the older I get the more I appreciate a good home cooked meal, fruits, vegetables, and just healthy eating. I make it an effort to eat some salad and fruit every day, now, too. My desert is usually a pear, orange, etc. I'm no angel, though..if someone leaves a batch of chocolate chip cookies I'll probably eat them in the next couple of days and why I rarely ever buy deserts! Keep myself stocked with fruits and vegies but I still stock up on the beer...that's a vice I don't see going away. I don't think Man nor Woman can rid them selves of all vices and if they can I doubt they're "living". Next weekend I'm going on a small family vacation for about 4-5 nights in a "German town" we have here called Leavenworth. I'll be drinking German beers probably every day but also plan on white water rafting, hiking, and mountain biking to make up for the beer calories . Osu!

I can't help but smile a bit at the thought of people making a big effort to eat healthily and generally live a healthy lifestyle and then drinking - it's so bad for you! Myself, I live a totally clean life and have no vices whatsoever. (I'm now imagining a Life of Brian type conversation: "but Ros, what about the swearing"
"OK but apart from the swearing no vices whatsoever"
"And don't forget the ...etc." ;D)

84kgs
WHR 0.85
Happy at that, same stats as when I was 22. The inflamation in my toe joints has gone and a bit of eczema that required daily moisturising cream has vanished. Sense of smell returning and I can taste my food again. Could all be a coincidence but I'm thinking I must have some kind of low-level intolerance for grains and/or dairy??
Who cares? I feel good.

The only way to find out is to keep a record of food intake and symptoms for several weeks and then re-introduce grains and dairy one at a time to see if symptoms can be reproduced. I think you should - you've piqued my interest and enquiring minds need to know. ;D

It's quite shocking to realise how far things had gone. I was 91kg but I felt lifeless half the time. I was falling asleep in the afternoon FFS - and kidding myself I was taking a 'powernap'.
TBH I don't want to go back to sandwiches and yoghurt, I'll stick with salads and fruit. I feel loads better now. Full of thrust.

thought I'd bump this old thread... and see how we are all doing??? I didnt keep up the weight loss last year, after losing the initial couple of pounds I kind of gave up and carried on with my old wicked ways. but I have made a concious effort this year (started on Jan 9th) to lose weight, I had gone up to 288 pounds... I now eat much healthier and drink a lot less (honest) since I started, I have had some beer at the Scottish Open tournament and on two weekends I have had two bottles. Any way the results have been (for me) pretty good, I am now 261 pounds and feeling better for it!

I'm back pretty steady at 85kg's.
That's about what I was when I was 25 but it looked a hell of a lot more ripped then.

I seem to be stuck in a never-ending circle of eat like a pig and put on several pounds, go on a diet and lose them again, eat like a pig and put on several pounds etc.
I don't think me and food will ever have a healthy relationship.

Just trying to clean up a bit of the diet but I am not dieting. Doing more conditioning work too so that will help. Still at around 220lbs. Would like to get to between 195-205 in the next year. More concerned with technique, speed and power in that order though.
