Local Rugby Tournament today. The lads (U 12's team) won all five of their matches without conceeding a try. Cracking day. Gary PS OK - I had to mention another game. England beat Scotland to stay on course for the grand slam. that was a sneaky tactic letting the fox out on the pitch before they game. with that much farming stock in the Scottish team you knew it would distract them lol! ;D

I didn't catch the first half Wullie. It was 9-9 when we got back.
First time I've ever seen a Ref subbed at that level and to be fair to Scotland that could've been a good attack at the time and a different outcome.

Knuckleheader- yes! I want to start lifting! Waiting for Ashigeru to train me to lift weights safely. For some reason we keep getting distracted when he comes over... Today, I baked really tasty ground beef stuffed pasties. Then Ashigeru and I did cardio for a number of hours. Ooops, forgot to train weights!

Gary your not suggesting something like the 'split' glove in the Ali v Cooper fight? ?? ;D

LOL
No, but the Scots will think the Auld Enemy was up to it's usual tricks.
It was an ugly win, but the only thing that matters is WIN.

Today I'll be going to a meet-up at a coffee shop with a bunch of people from a community I'm part of. Always fun to be social like that! Also probably going to do some sitting-down sparring. Since my leg and hip are so hurt, and I have such a bad habit of ignoring this and doing something bad to it, Ashigeru (sensei) and I will sit on the bed and spar in place. I am terrible and blocking and protecting myself, so this is actually really good for me. I can't dodge much and I know it. He hits WAY harder than anyone in class hits me, so I can't just ignore and soak, though sometimes I'll make the sacrifice to get in a good shot or two. Mostly I am learning how to anticipate, mirror, block, and find holes in someone's guard.

Waste of good sleepy time if you ask me

Never hard enough to harm, physically or emotionally. I laugh a lot, and am quite happy with it! I think it's a terribly fun game. Man, I tell you what, we never get in fights... OSU!

Today Ros and I are going to watch the "Dubliners" live at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham. It's been a few years since we last saw them, I wonder if they'll do any "New" stuff

Today is a dojo day! Need to remember to take along my camera so I can see about getting some shots of people kicking for references. :} Hoping I won't get raked over the coals for inviting a pro fighter to our open sparring day. They said "invite friends" so I did. Actually should be a lot of fun if he shows up.

The fighter has had fights that paid a few dollars or fights for a living, Evergrey? I only ask because I've had "pro" fights but in no way did I fight for a living LOL. In all honesty I've only personally known a handful of people that actually made a good living from fighting.
It's even easier to have "pro fights" these days because more organizations and a bunch of smaller cards exist. If your pro fighter friend hasn't done knockdown karate before they may not fare well besides their conditioning under knockdown rules. Osu!
