I saw Cowboys and Aliens yesterday, I enjoyed it . However, I'm a big kid in an adult body LOL! It was actually a bit better than I expected it to be! Was nice to see Harrison Ford do a good acting job, again! Shocking huh? In a movie called "Cowboys and Aliens" that anybody would be a good actor but in my opinion Ford's acting was the best out of everybody. Osu!

I started to watch 13 assassins but my girlfriend doesn't like subtitles so it's one of those movies I'll watch alone lol! Finally saw the last Harry potter movie and enjoyed it. I'm actually behind in my movies right now which is good because it gives me more options to choose from! Osu!

Ros and I went to a friends for a Barbecue yesterday and afterwards we all watched "Super". Much darker than Kick-Ass, less laughs but still worth a watch

I honestly couldn't finish watching all of "Hobo With a Shotgun," it just got too ridiculous for me, I suppose. Watched "13 Assasins" recently and liked that, but I like old Kurosawa movies like Yojimbo and Seven Samurai . I also fancy old Western movies quite a bit, too! Which leads me to a movie I just finished watching, "Blitz," with Jason Statham, I loved it. Statham's role in this movie seemed perfect for him. I truly believe if he stays to roles like the one he had in Blitz he could be the next Clint Eastwood, but only time will tell. Osu!

We went to see "The skin I live in" yesterday. Antonio Banderas as a Slightly unorthodox plastic surgeon. A good film, the 2 hours flew by but you do have to suspend disbelief for it And then once you've done that you then have to install you anti-bonkers filter

What I meant by unbelievable was, how the "gore" was in the movie. I understand that it was purposely meant to be that way, a B movie campy-cheesy, almost throwback to the Troma movies like Toxie The Avenger, etc. Those movies really aren't my bag! Speaking of sci-fi, my girlfriend just pre-ordered all the Star Wars movies on bluray for me ! I should have them around the 16th of September woohoo! Osu!

I saw Conan the Barbarian 3D(only I saw it in 2d. I don't like 3d films..)
Overall I really enjoyed it. It feels more like the original character from the 1930's pulps. Fast, nasty and witty. Not a bumbling huge muscle man like the 82 one.
It is not a great movie. It was fun though and the actor that plays Conan nailed the part for me.
The worst parts are the script is weak and the director seems like he was cashing in a paycheck and not really a fan of the character to try any harder.

I honestly couldn't finish watching all of "Hobo With a Shotgun," it just got too ridiculous for me, I suppose. I must confess, it was a struggle sitting through HWAS, which I did. I fell in love with the concept honestly. The execution of it, meh. Maybe if Hobo was an older Roy Batty and Ridley Scott produced and directed. Saw a bunch of old films on dvd over the hurricane weekend. Jennifer's Body, surprisingly decent, and Letters from Iwo Jima, puts a human face on the doomed Japanese soldier. The rest, Old Dogs and Kandahar, puke. Travolta and Robin Williams should be ashamed and Kandahar reveals nothing new about Afghanistan-options are limited when you wear a burkha. Since some of you mentioned liking 13 Assasins, look for Twilight Samurai. It's a future classic.

Saw Apollo 18 yesterday and I'm highly recommending not to waste your money seeing I in the theatre! I won't spoil it but was disappointed to say the least. It had solid acting but was lacking in believability and the end... Going to go and see rise of the apes here in a fee, hopefully that is better!
Saw rise of the planet of the apes and it wasn't half bad, much better than Apollo 18! I felt bad for the main ape, "Caesar," during most of the movie... Osu!

Saw Colombiana in the theater yesterday. Columbiana was written and produced by Luc Besson, who you may remember from films like Nikita and The Professional (Leon). Skinny, angry chic on a murderous rampage is what Besson does well. [ i]Colombiana[/i] is almost a rehash of The Professional, only we get to see the character of violently orphaned girl grow into a vengeful adult. If you liked Nikita and The Professional, you won't be disappointed by Colombiana.

Watched Ironclad, today, I liked it! It's a brutal & gory movie about England in the 12th century..I'm sure it wasn't too factual but it did reference the magna carta and King John trying to get revenge is basically what the movie was about. The latter part about King John trying to get revenge I'm sure was true to some extent, but I'm fairly sure isn't how the movie showed it. Watching Hall Pass, right now...cracking up at parts of it, and sadly I can relate to it at times! I remember just 4 years ago or so when I used to go to bars & clubs every weekend with a bunch of young Army guys and trying to "pick up chicks" every weekend. What a waste of money and time! LOL! Even if you did "score," it never lasted long. So glad I'm in a relationship with somebody I consider my best friend that I don't have to impress with fake crap and drinks at a bar. BTW, I'm watching a lot of movies lately because I've been on a "break" until the 19th...I guess I should be thankful of having the free time and no family for the time being...but wow, I get bored too easy having this much free time! However, lets me get in a few more hours of training every day ! Osu!

Saw "Warrior" today, and it was better then I anticipated. It tugged on my hear strings a few times due to drawing on similarities from my own childhood. In all honesty, I would have waited to rent it to watch in private by myself if I knew anything about it. I'm editing this because I would have waited to rent it because I don't like getting teary eyed in public . Not many movies invoke that in me but an MMA movie of all movies did..this is more then a "MMA movie" is what I'm trying to say. I'll definitely be buying this movie on blu-ray when it comes out. Osu!
