Cute little romantic comedy The Big Sick written by Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon, about how they met and got together despite the hurdles their different backgrounds presented.

We saw Baby Driver, i agree with you mmx it was very good. Time zipped past :-)
Only complaint was i thought there was a bit too much music. Sometimes it took away from the dialog.

Ahhh I felt that was the genius of it was that the Music was part of the dialogue/characters.
Season 7 of Game of Thrones. Good start!!!

Just saw Baby Driver last night. Since there wasn't much dialogue for the protagonist, the music was essential, I thought. As I pulled out of the parking lot the thought of burning a doughnut into the asphalt briefly crossed my mind- the car's a rental.

Dunkirk is a really, really good film.
And to add to the excitement, our friend heather was sat next to an elderly lady who was actually there!!

This weekend we did 2 cinema trips.
Saturday was 'IT', this was really good! Lots of scares and a fair amount of humour. The new Pennywise is very scary. If you have seen the original you'll remember the film jumps between when the friends are adults and when they were kids. This version doesn't this film is all set when they were kids. The second film is going to be when they are adult.
Then today we went to see 'Una'. This is about, without giving too much away, a woman who turns up an older man's workplace to confront him about an event in their past. It was OK, the first half was more interesting than the second. I have never been in a film where the whole audience was silent from beginning to end!

Two very different films this weekend... Saturday, Blade Runner 2049. A good film. as good as the original? Nope. Do you need to have seen the original? Yep. Very good effects and the story was ok. Sunday, Tangerine. The trailers for this when it was relesed said it was 'The best transgender, prostitute, revenge film you'll see this year'. And it was interesting bit of info, it was filmed wholly on an iPhone(albeit a heavilly modded iPhone).

I really enjoyed Bladerunner 2049. It meanders a little but overall was amazing and actually really impressed me they were able to make a sequel that had that same spirit as the original.

Watched 'The death of Stalin' this afternoon. Imagine 'The thick of it' but set in Russia. Quite funny.
Favourite line of the film, 'Smile, Shake their hand and try not to call them a C*nt'

I also saw Bladerunner 2049, a while back. It was a different sort of dark and wet dystopia than Ridley Scott's, I thought. I enjoyed it, but then I, like you, have been waiting a long time for a sequel.
Last night we took in Victoria &Abdul, a film which takes place during the waning years of Queen Victoria's reign. Basically, an Indian prison clerk finds himself in the service of the Queen, and she takes an interest in him. Any film about empire seems timely these days.

Just got back from watching Thor - Ragnarok
I agreed with Ros, the first half hour was a bit rubbish but then it got going and was really good.
The Character of Korg was very funny, He was played by the Directory Taika Waititi.
