I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything!

Osu
Thanks for the interview. I know it's a bit late but just read it. Have just ordered Kancho book online and a couple of Enshin DVDs to get some more info on the style and to develop and hopefully enhance my skills.

I got it too.
Caught me by surprise as I noticed there was nothing in this months newsletter.
Onwards and upwards!

I read with interest in this months newsletter that Kancho is stepping back a little to let Mike take on more responsibilities, naming him nidaime (number 2)
Mike is a good instructor and an awesome fighter, so this is not just nepotism. He's also had some tough times and got through them. This has given him insight and empathy into human frailty and a focus on longevity and health through training.
I am happy to give him and the organisation my full support. While Kancho remains the steady hand on the tiller I am confident any changes will be for the good.

Succession is a tricky thing when karate organizations are run as a family business. It's especially tough if no offspring take an interest in karate. It's good to know none of this plagues Enshin.

All three of Kancho's sons are very very good. It's in their DNA
I wondered what prompted this but then decided if they wanted it public they'd have let us all know. Health was mentioned so I hope all is well.
Excited to see what changes. New ideas will be trialed at Honbu first then rolled out through seminars etc.

"Today , I have conferred on my son Mike Ninomiya the rank of 8th dan and Fuku-Kancho (Vice-Kancho). He will support me Kancho Joko Ninomiya as Fuku- Kancho to build a stronger Enshin Organization".
Just received the above in a follow up to this months newsletter.
