Yup. Two explosive movements, what's not to like? Pretty much the regular workout except for a few variations: 1) I left out the pull-ups-no special reason; 2) I paused for a beat on the roll-out, toes to hands for support; 3) no push-press. On the Tabata row, this is one of the infinitely scaleable exercises; it's always a challenge no matter your condition.

On the importance of good hydration- over the weekend I had planned on attending a seminar in Desenzano, but could not make it due to extreme fatigue. On Sturday morning, I woke up feeling as if I'd been on a bender. My thinking was off as was my will. Looking back, I remembered how little I drank of anything, cup of java in the morning and that was it, before the Friday night dojo session. The dojo session wasn't more strenuous than any other, the only thing different was my hydration level. No rocket science here.

Last Friday I had my arm torqued in a manner my shoulder was not accustomed to-rotator cuff tear I thought. Took a lacrosse ball to the lateral delt and good as new, sort of.
Work outs have been like this: -db goblet squats, 70lbs, 2x50 -1clean2front squats, 2x70lbs, 15 -flies and roll-outs, 2x5

4-26-16 -goblet squats, 2x50, 70 lbs -10 C&PP (2x70lbs) -flies & roll-outs 2x5
4-27-16 -20 ATFLBR, 20 dips -10x(10 goblet squats(70 lbs)+3 dips (24 kgs)+3 pull-ups (24kgs)) -flies & roll-outs (2x5) -tekpi, headstand
I've gotten to the point where the concentric portion of the standing roll-out is easy: start out kneeling, straighten bent knees at full extension, bend at the waist, repeat). Next I'll work on lengthening the hold at full extension, followed (I hope) by the complete standing roll-out.

Sounds good. I am about at the same point I think with the roll outs.

4-28-16 -goblet squats, 2x50, 70lbs -flies and roll-outs, 3x5
Focused on pausing with the flies and roll-outs.
Long but interesting conversation between Rogan and Steve Maxwell on traveling light, training into old age, self-defense, etc. When Maxwell veers into astrology, though, it got me wondering if he bumped his head really hard sometime in the past.

Yeah he is an interesting guy. He is the one that brought the TGU to Pavel and then it really blew up in the hardstyle kettlebell world.

Steve Maxwell said something pretty interesting about running as a legit self-defense technique. He admits to not wanting to be the old guy who can't run away. Smart guy.

The snatch is an interesting demon. I find now that my technique is better and my strength is way up my hands are not really suffering. I have also found the appropriate amount of chalk to use. The last time I had issues was at the SFG but that was pure overload. Doing 6-8 hours a day of KB will make your hands pretty jacked.

On the road to fitness, the KB snatch is almost a separate destination, if not a long detour.

I was going to listen to this podcast while working out, a conversation between Sam Harris and Jocko Willink, and ended up just sitting down and listening.

So this was yesterday's workout, the one I planned on doing. -goblet squat, 70 lbs, 50, 30, 20 -single db pp, 70lbs, 5x6 -swiss ball, pseudo planche leans, 3x10 -ATFLBRs3x20 -kb snatch, 24kgs, 6x10 -roll-outs and flies
My left elbow got a little sore from the ATFLBRs, so when it came time to do the snatches, 10x10 was not going to happen.
