Today I did 65 mins on the elliptical at level 14. Came out to like 1200 calories burned.
5 mins cool down
15 mins stretch.
No class tonight--one student has too much homework, the other went to the airport. 2 students never showed back up after a month, so I dropped them from the roster.

yeah. usually I do 60 mins 3 times a week and am at the dojo for 90 mins 3 x a week for a total of 5 to 6 days of workouts. i added in an extra 5 mins yesterday. I kinda feel it. My legs quads were a little tired today when I was at the dojo on the heavy bag.
BTW: today was 15 mins rowing machine 11 x 3 min rds on the heavy bag (1 min rest doing abs) 15 mins stretch 3x 8 reps biceps curls.
Since one of my toes on my right foot is broken I can't move to my right very well, and can't kick with that leg except for hiza geri. Also, i can only go gedan and chudan with my left leg since I don't have much pivot. Ah well. It allowed me to work on ashi barai to the left leg, and a uchimo geri/ hiza geri combo. and lots of boxing.

Tremendous work capacity, Medguy. I imagine you must be eating non-stop.

Yeah, my wife is a bit jealous that at 40 1/2 years old I am eating like her brother when he was in high school football and my waist is a 29 at 5'6" and 167 lbs. She gives me a lot of evil glances from the corner of her eye. The downside is that I am always hungry! Even when I gorge myself I will end up being comfortably full within 30 mins and hungry again in 5 hours.

Do you have set things you do on your 3 minute bag rounds, or do you just mix it up?

I need to increase my recumbent bike time then so I don't feel as guilty when I do gorge myself....I've noticed i've put on some pounds since getting out of the Army, doh!
Medguy has taught me the secret, burn just as many calories as I eat and I can eat what I want when I want!!! It's magic! Osu!

I would have thought SFAS might have taught you that.

Do you have set things you do on your 3 minute bag rounds, or do you just mix it up? Depends on the round. One round I might do rebound drills. Another round I might do a low/low/middle/middle combo, another round might be free. Whatever.

I would have thought SFAS might have taught you that. I needed a reminder Obviously you didn't catch onto my sarcasm...... Anyway, I'm impressed by your 1200 calorie burning work out. I typically only do half of that on the recumbent and that takes me a few hours...time to increase my resistance, doh! I'm also concerned if your work out is going to change to a more erratic pace since your idol Charlie Sheen has kind of changed up things since his days of playing Lt. Dale Hawkins in your favorite movie, Navy SEALs. *zing* Osu!

Hey, YOU'RE the one who actually remembered the character's name! It's not like he was Snake Plissken or anything like that!
