11/5/2014 Good training last night. Just Sensei,myself and a blue belt. Worked on the kihon a bit longer and also worked a ton on punch set ups and reversals using upper body stuff. OS Resets Clean to Push Press 5x1 each side @32kg with a bit of mini presses at the top Swings 8x10 alternating arms each 10 @32kg Shinkyoku Breathing

11/6/2014 Felt tired and hayfever was on full blast today. Took the dogs for their usual walk and the OS Resets/Foamroller/Stretching morning.

Monthly weight check. 180# folks. So happy. Figure I will bottom out at 175? All that is left is a bit of a flab right on top of the abs.

11/10/2014 OS Resets Enshin Kata 1-6 Heavy Bag work untimed Stretches I jammed my thumb doing a Shita Zuki that Sempai blocked very well with his elbow that caught my thumb(closed fist even!) and jammed it. Sparring went on and even a nice burger and beer afterward till I noticed how bad it got. Might be a recovery week of sorts as I don’t want to chance using a ballistic like the KB swing and make it worse.

Been there, done that. I no longer do the text book shita tsuki, more like a vertical fist. Remember Rock'Em Sock'Em Robots, yes I'm that old, like that.

Nothing today. Stayed up pretty late and decided to catch up on sleep while the jammed thumb heals.

11/12/2014 OS Resets Goblet Squat x5 @16kg Complexes today. Based on KB Muscle. Test run.. 2x16kg for all sets,between sets was 2min rest Set 1-2 C&Px5 FSQ x5 DSW x5 C&P x5 Set 3-5 C&P x5 FSQ x5 DSW x5 DHP x5 Then Farmers Walks x2 perimeter with the 2x16kg Shinkyoku Breathing Very interesting. Though 2x16kg is light to me when you have to hold onto them for each consecutive move you feel it.
Will test this and maybe implement this or a version of this based on some Dan John ideas.
