Perfect job for me now, working at a local park. Start next Wednesday. Decided to get ready by walking it today. I used to run round like a boss but the hills are steeper than I remember.
Still enjoying S & S @ 24kg. Down to 85kg and 34 waist (1981 stats). Just a bit to go.
Life is good!

And again today. 90 minutes up the steepest hills I could find.
Heart and lungs just fine. This is my clinic and gym all rolled into one.

Not updated this for a while as s & s is what it is.
I usually use a 24 for all sets and haven't touched a 32 for months. So imagine my surprise when I went to a friends house to help him move some stuff and there was a 32 sitting there propping a door open.
So I had to have a go ... Clean and pressed it easily on both sides.
WTH?

Clean living and bacon. I only train every three days now for 10 sets of 10 swings then 10 TGU So I seem to have adequate strength in reserve all the time for day to day tasks, unlike years ago when I hated real ladder drills after a legs day. So I'm like a comfortable car now that doesn't get driven fast, with a big enough engine to tow something or put a bit of a burst on. That'll do.

Being too tired (or injured) to perform when required is the mark of a bad plan. I still make mistakes with the planning.

Just for fun last night I did a TGU with 32kgs. Not done one for a while as I no longer have one at home, so all I do is simple and sinister every three days with 24kgs.
It flew up. Felt really easy.
Another WTH moment from KB training that proves greasing the groove and a simple program done regularly gives hidden benefits beyond the normal numbers.
Extending that theory to kihon I wonder now if all those years trying to get more juice into every blow helped or hindered. Maybe keeping things sub maximal but regular might have saved a lot of pain. The spirit argument is still unmeasurable and many argue that only by beasting yourself will you develop the necessary tenacity.
Hmm. I think we've all got it to a degree and the actual benefits of torturing yourself are overstated.
In summary. Be precise, train regularly and challenge yourself. Don't be stupid.

Well done! "Don't be stupid." It's a struggle for me at times.

That could be the mantra for KDF.
Love it Gary.

Just treated myself to some Wolverson GS kettlebells.
Trained as per normal but the slightly thicker handles gave my forearms a new and better challenge.
'Ave it!

Grrr
As an add on to S & S I've decided to re build my pressing strength. I do 5x24kgs, then 4x28kgs then 3x32kgs. I do this by using an old belt and some Dumbells disks. I just thread the belt through 4kgs then 8kgs, hook it through the handle and press. No bother.
So I was annoyed to find today that I cannot (yet) press a proper 32kg bell. It's not having it.

The leverage can make them heavier. I can press a 32kg bell just fine but stacking a 24+8kg wont budge.
