10 Minutes cross-trainer
1 Minute rounds of....
3 Mawashi geri into the long bag (Alternating me three then Ros three) Same again but other leg Tabletop situps Three punches Ushiro geri - Left leg forward Three punches Ushiro geri - Right leg forward Hit what ever the padman gives you Mawashi geri/Ushiro mawashi kake geri - right leg first Mawashi geri/Ushiro mawashi kake geri - left leg first Hiki mawashi, Hiza geri, Mawashi geri
about 3 mins of defence/takedown
Green belt kata against opponent
Green belt kata to the count
finished with a couple of minutes of sparring

Hardcore as usual, monty. Is Ros going to keep a separate log? Are there going to be 4 logs? I'm so confused.

Yep, Ros will be re-starting her log in the near future Thursday, Enshin TrainingReally sweaty one tonight:) Short warm up tonight, then 20 reps of all the Kihon strikes, blocks and kicks. Different people were doing the count so the speed of count varied alot Partnered up and did minute rounds of.... One person does Hiki kazushi, Mawashi geri(one on each side) then partner does the same then Hike mawashi , Hiza geri (one on each side) . We did this twice. Mawashi geri/Ushiro mawashi kake geri over squatting partners head. We did this twice as well. Back in line, into fighting stance and we did.... Front punch 10 off each side Front, Reverse punch 10 off each side Front, Reverse, hook punch 10 off each side Front, Reverse, hook, shovel punch 10 off each side Hiza geri 10 off each side Hiza geri, Mae geri 10 off each side Hiza geri, Mae geri, mawashi geri 10 off each side Got into threes and one person was on for 30 seconds will the other two took it inturns at attacking(the non attacking one trying to get behind the defender). We did this three times. In between each of these three times the youngsters got up and tried to hit the oldsters:) The oldsters only allowed defence was movement. Some people stayed behind for a bit of contact sparring, I was one of them, I put too much weight on my dodgy knee and ended up on my arse again:(

Where is your knee injured at Monty?
Have you had that checked out by a Doctor yet?

Bit of a nightmare tonight. Someone got a solid whack on the nose that 'tapped his claret', then Monty twisted his knee. My goal is always hard SAFE training so I feel bad if people get injured Plenty of R.I.C.E. Monty, and TLC from Ros of course Gary

Where is your knee injured at Monty? Have you had that checked out by a Doctor yet? Haven't been to a doctor, Not sure what they'd be able to tell me(but I suppose I won't know until I ask). Depending on how it goes at training tomorrow I may take Monday off training and rest it from Sun - Thurs.

Ros has done the main write up. Cracking session as usual.
Some of my takedowns seemed to be working well (I particularly liked the push/sweep against a mwashi geri), some I couldn't get at all (the zig zag sweep out of black belkt kata for one).

Wednesday, Gym TrainingWednesday Lunchtime! What's going on there then? Well, Ros was off work and we didn't go to the Gym yesterday because of the Gig so we decided to meet up at lunch and do something. We were having to work round my dodgy knee(which held up well ) and Ros's dodgy back. We started off with 30 Seconds all out attack then 30 seconds holding the bag. Did this 5 times each Then onto 30 second rounds (10 seconds rest) of Cross over Sit-ups Press ups Squats Burpees Next we spent 1 minute each side doing Mawashi geri/Ushiro mawashi kake geri (like green belt kata) finished off spending an amount of time working on some of the takedowns we were doing on saturday. Quite a nice way to spend your lunch hour really Now back to work for me Osu! Monty

I think I might have jarred it a little on Saturday. My lower back has been a bit painful since then but 3 hours sat in the Royal Concert Hall seats last night seems to have pushed it over the edge! The drugs have turned it from a shout to a dull grumble though.
