Had a Bia Ha Noi the other night with dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant. It was ok a little watery for me though. But the dinner was sensational.

Never had that one. When my Mother in Law ran a Vietnamese place we had "33" for the Vietnamese beer.

Scored some Sierra Nevada BIGFOOT on sale! 9.6% Barley Wine. Good beer. Tastes more like a real malty IPA than the usual barley wines.

Having some Hefeweizen from the 4 Pines Brewing company which is a local company in Manly which isn't too far from me. Not a bad brew. Was looking for a few different beers tonight but the place I went into was selling single stubbies for $6.50 each so bought a 6pack of this 4 pines instead.

Whilst working on my car this weekend I had to run over to the Auto Parts store and there was a "Beverage Depot" next door. They had some of the limited STONE Fresh by 05/17/13 IPA. 9.6% ABV. Very good beer. 22oz bottle. I poured my wife about 8oz and I had the rest. Good treat after working on the car for 3 hours.

Last night at my table top gaming group a fellow there gave me a bottle of the new Rampant IPA by New Belgium brewing. Pretty good stuff. Strong and hoppy.

Found a really good pizzeria (surprise!) last Saturday. I had an award winning pilsner style beer from this company. Beer and pizza, can't beat that combo. www.realbeer.com/nmvbp/menabrea.htm

I have tried quite a few new ones to me recently.
Samuel Adams-
Belgian Session- Take a strong Belgian Ale and make it half as strong alcohol wise but the same flavor profile.
Blueberry Lager - Interesting choice but a most excellent and refreshing beer. Good with Pretzels.
Little White Rye - A wit bier with Rye in it. A bit coriander spice to it but smooth and drinkable. Not great but good.
Sierra Nevada - Hoptimum, their flagship Double IPA at 10.4% ABV. 12oz bottle that packs a whallop. Strong hoppy and malty flavor. I enjoyed it.
Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter - For some reason I had not had this one yet. Delicious and well balanced Porter.

The other day I lost a bet with a work mate for a 6 pack of beer. So I went to the bottleo to buy the owed six pack. I chose Peroni Nastro Azzurro. A six pack was $18 and I wanted some for me so another $18 but then I had a look and for a carton of 24 it was $49 looks like I have 18 beers to drink now instead of 6. The strange thing was they come in 6x3packs instead of the normal 4x6packs. This one is imported from Italy and is very nice beer to drink. Was glad I bought the carton.

Never had that one. They import the regular Peroni here but I am not a fan of it.
I found a few bottles of the Stone Espresso Russian Imperial Stout 22oz bottle(11% ABV). Very smooth and excellent. You can taste the alcohol but that is good because the flavor is so good you would chug this giant bottle and then be too hammered. Better to drink it slow.

Had it a couple of days ago with pizza (prosciutto and mushrooms).

Was at the grocery store and saw a 22oz bottle of Guinness Extra Stout. I have had the regular for many years but never tried this one. It was very good. Not as creamy as the regular but stronger coffee flavor and a bit more of a punch.
